Dr. Ben Choi, originally from Seoul, South Korea, embarked on his journey to the United States after high school with a passion for healthcare. At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he discovered the profound impact of dentistry on transforming lives, which inspired him to pursue a career in this field. After earning his dental degree from Midwestern University in Illinois, Dr. Choi practiced as a general dentist for several years. His growing interest in surgical procedures and periodontal treatments motivated him to specialize further, leading to advanced certification in periodontics and implant dentistry at the prestigious University of Washington.
During his residency, Dr. Choi completed a Master of Science degree with a focus on the accuracy of guided implant surgery. His innovative research has significantly advanced the success and treatment options for dental implants.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Choi is dedicated to community service. He has volunteered his dental expertise in Nepal, Indonesia, Guatemala, and locally within Washington State, demonstrating his commitment to making a positive impact both globally and locally. His extensive volunteer work highlights his dedication to improving oral health for underserved populations.

Yong “Ben” Choi, DMD

Ben Choi came to the States at the age of 18 and earned his Bachelors of Science in biology at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Shortly after graduation, Ben went on to complete his Masters and Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree at the Midwestern University in Illinois. At a chance meeting at Midwestern University is where Ben met Dr. Selina.
Dr. Ben places high value in his patients’ needs and building long-term relationships with them. Not only does Dr. Choi provide a high-level of dental care with the best materials and technology out there, but he continues to refine his skills and approach by participating in numerous continuing education courses throughout the year.
Dr. Ben enjoys making time to give back to the community by supporting local community events. Both Drs. Selina and Ben are actively involved in their church while serving as a mentor to young adults. Ben is also part of the dental mission team, where he travels around the world to provide dental care to those in need. Last year, his team went to Guatemala and saw more than 100 patients currently unable to seek immediate dental care. This year he recently returned from Nepal on his latest mission trip.
When Dr. Ben has spare time, he relaxes by playing guitar and taking photographs of our family, friends, and the beautiful sceneries in the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Ben and Dr. Selina are proud parents of Hazel, their daughter.
